Communications & Marketing Committee:
The Communications & Marketing Committee promotes the chapter through informative communications that educate and activate the public. Emerging Green Professionals:
The Emerging Green Professionals exists to engage young professionals just starting a career in sustainability, and facilitate the transition from student to young professional to chapter leader. Rather than acting as a committee focusing on specific activities, the EGP is more of a self-organized group of young professionals, and others just new to the green building. EGPis affiliated with and works in parallel with the chapter and is not attached to a specific campus, as is the USGBC Students program.
EGP group plans their own events and activities designed for education and network opportunities for young professionals to meet peers with similar passions, and connect with mentors during the transition after graduation. EGP is the future that can fulfill National's goal of "sustainability within a generation."

Events (or Programs) Committee:
The Events (or Programs) and Education Committees are the mainstays of the chapter, which carry out its mission of educating and engaging the public. As such, they are supported by and work closely with all other committees. Members want interesting hands-on examples of green building, and to learn about how to go about it. The Events (or Programs) Committee implements the members' professional development and provides opportunities for educational events, networking, and promotion of the Chapter through various programs.

Membership Committee:
The Membership Committee is responsible for creating community within the chapter, which will grow and retain members. As such, they need to know the membership on many levels in order to help other committees and the Board truly serve their members. Information such as where members are located, a breakdown by profession, and their interests in various aspects of green building and sustainability will be useful to delivering programs and information relevant to the membership. A Membership Committee that knows its membership well will also be able to make suggestions for chapter leadership succession.

Strategic Partnerships Committee:
The Strategic Partnerships Committee can be the chapter's voice in the local business community by forging and sustaining cooperative relationships with other organizations and encouraging all to work together to further its mission and goals.
The Strategic Partnerships Committee is unique to chapters in areas with a complex array of other environmental non-profits. This committee is usually not necessary for a more established chapter where forging strategic partnerships has consistent Board of Directors attention and oversight. However, where this committee works closely with the Board, it can be a good source of research to aid Board functions and decisions.
